Aydre, seen here with her personal assistant Squirrel, is looking for brave gnomes to join the cause.

Local Gnomish Scientist Calls For Action In Gnomeregan

Dr. Aydre Trandrale claims to have created a spray that will cure the Leper gnomes, and eventually all of Gnomeregan, of the radioactive poisoning once enough of the spray is produced. Called RadiationFix 3000, this strange brew has the general appearance of any Dwarfish stout. A solid dark brown slightly carbonated liquid — almost appetizing, if it weren’t for the suspicious smell of rancid lamb stew.

We caught up with Aydre in her lab on the outskirts of Kharanos to find out more about her newest invention. Aydre, in a flurry of excitement, commented, “It’s time for Gnomeaggedon - time to take back our home! Using this spray, we will be able to return our friends and loved ones to health — rather then destroying them as many others are prone to do — all while protecting ourselves from the wraths of the disease. Once recovered, we will fight as one to take back our home from the Trogs!”

When we inquired how it works, we were told that while the recipe itself is a trade secret, it is derived from a concoction of Firebloom, Iridium-192 and a Dwarven spiced haggis which mistakenly fell in, but seems to have done the trick. This is dried and ground into a power-like substance, which when diluted in normal rainwater, can be sprayed onto any gnome, Leper or healthy, immediately enacting a cure or an inoculation. “The scientific principle is simple. We bring your radiation level so high that it rolls over to zero.” Certainly, nothing says detoxification like ground Iridium-192.

Aydre asked us to add that she is looking for volunteers to assist in the final stages of testing, but added that anyone with serious allergies may want to abstain. In the honest view of this journalist, while it is a cause worth fighting for, it is perhaps not worth by being sprayed in the face with RadiationFix 3000. I’d rather have a good sword and a Priest any day.

Unexpectedly Small Turnout For Champion Fishing Tournament

Moments before the winning catch!

Tarellya Tinkham won on a single cast using a mechanical gaseous tube worm as bait, landing a 13lb Ice Frenzy Catfish. It took the help of two Gnomes, a Dwarf, and a mechanical toad to reel it in. When asked for comment, Tarellya said “I'm going to buy one of those mechanized rods. The toad’s whining was a bit over the top.”

Discussion Topic of the Week:

Stock photo of undead without a jaw

An undead was caught yesterday leaving the Tram and was swiftly killed by Thief Catcher Farmountain. This brings up an interesting point, can you really kill an undead? When asked for comment, the dying undead gargled unintelligibly, presumably due to the fact that he had no lower jaw.

Let’s hear your view!
