Here's the long and short of commissions: I draw, and I design websites. What do you want? It's your choice. I can design whole sites or simple graphics, I do character sketches, concept design images, and all that other stuff freelance artists do.
Drawing rates run as follows.
All prices for pen & ink are US $35 an hour. Currently I can not offer paint or watercolors.
- 8"x10" on Arches Cover, minimum 5 hrs.
- 10"x16" on Arches Cover, minimum 10 hrs.
- 16"x24" on Arches Cover, minimum 25 hrs.
- Larger items require special pricing.
Matting and framing are extra - the price of the materials plus 1 hr for construction. Special paper increases the price.
You receive the original piece, but I retain the right to display it in my portfolio and as a sample of my work, and hold the copyright.
Website rates are as follows.
Individual graphic work is US $35 an hour, minimum 1 hour. The item itself will sent to you via email, in .jpg or .tif format as you need at a reasonably high resolution. Whole sites come in two forms - redesign and new. The rate is US $45 an hour, minimum 5 hrs for redesign and 10 hrs for new. I will provide you with a mock-up in .jpg or .pdf format and a proposal for you to accept. 50% of the cost is due up front, before any work can begin. I will work with you extensively via email to make the site what you want. I need to know deadlines before beginning - but please remember, I do work 40 hrs a week for a living. ;)
Shipping costs will vary by piece, according to size, method, and whether the piece is framed or not (weight). Base cost is $5 for USPS. This can be discussed before the project begins.
